TO REGISTER A YACHT IN DELAWARE:

HOW DO WE UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS OF DOCUMENTATION AND REGISTRATION OF YOUR YACHT IN DELAWARE ARE COMPLETED?

A document including the name of the yacht’s owner, address and other information on it, to be shown in case of supervision; and two decals (front-back) to affix to your boat will be provided to you by the State of Delaware. Optional: Yacht Registration Office Verification Letter. Foreign customers sometimes give importance to this approval letter with the list of yacht details, provided by the Yacht Registration Office in Delaware. This letter is not a standard document within the process of yacht registration, which means you need to ask for it during the process. Additionally, if you want the name of your yacht to be presented in the letter, you are expected to ask for this.

If you want us to stand proxy for you, the total amount including the sale follow-up in the embassy, proxy statement, translations and embassy fee is $500 USD. Boats with the US flag must renew their yacht registration by the 31st of December. The registration can be paid annually or for three-years. You must already have a company in Delaware before yacht purchase. You can start your business establishment process by filling out our application form, or you can directly contact us.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?

Depending on special occasions, it usually takes 7-10 workdays right after we get your documents.  Services in case of emergency are charged extra.

– Notarized Bill of Sale (For a second-hand boat) – Document indicating the former records of a second-hand ship have been removed – registration fee.
